Friendly win

This free weekend away from the league format was used to keep us playing and to try out a couple of new things as well as playing on next year’s home pitch.

We started with a new formation 3-3-2 rather than 3-4-1, also some playing in different positions so I know what I have when and if I need it for matches ahead.

We took a little time to get used to the new formation and conceded a couple of goals (but this was why I tried now not in a league game).

The game went back and forth, some good stuff played by both teams They scored we scored until we stepped up the last 10-15 mins when we took the game away from them to win 6-3

We grew more and more as time went by with our new roles and found the weaknesses in the opposition which is what I was looking for

I was impressed with the way we stuck to our guns and fought back a couple of times from a losing positions to get the win in the end. A winning mentality is a good thing to have.

Farrell got his mad 10 mins out of goal and in that short time showed the rest of the lads desire to get the ball off the opp.

Ellis playing 15 mins at CB which he wasn’t sure about but did a very good job, more ideas if I need a CB at any point
